Dennis J. Kistner

Dennis J. Kistner served as a Senior Partner with HKS Financial Partners until his retirement at the end of 2024. After working alongside long-term colleague Paul Herzog for many years, Dennis and Paul partnered with fellow Senior Partner Brandon Shaw to officially form HKS Financial Partners in 2017.

Over the course of nearly 30 years, Dennis built a successful practice focused on helping individuals, families, and businesses achieve their financial goals. His client base evolved to include small and mid-sized businesses, where he specialized in designing and servicing retirement plans. Throughout his career, Dennis was known for his meticulous attention to detail and his commitment to providing exceptional service to every client he worked with.

Born and raised in Illinois, Dennis graduated from Monmouth College in 1974 and went on to earn a Master of Science degree from the University of Illinois in 1981.

Dennis and his wife, Sandi, have lived in Peoria for nearly four decades. They have four children and five grandchildren, with whom they enjoy spending much of their free time.
