Lucas Schmidt

Lucas Schmidt is an Analyst with HKS Financial Partners, supporting an experienced Financial Advisory Team through close collaboration with the Relationship Manager to deliver exceptional client care. His responsibilities include case preparation, meeting support, client follow-up, and executing service requests — all while helping ensure a consistently high standard of service. Based in Germantown Hills, Illinois, Lucas brings a strong foundation in accounting along with over five years of customer service experience.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a Minor in Business Administration from Bradley University. Lucas chose to pursue a career in financial services to make a more direct impact on people’s lives, drawn to financial planning for its relational nature and the opportunity to help clients feel more confident about their financial future.

Lucas enjoys analyzing financial information and translating complex data into practical, actionable insights that support client strategies. He is motivated by being part of a team that plays a meaningful role in clients’ retirement planning, long-term growth, and overall financial security. Committed to professional growth, he plans to pursue the SIE, Series 7 and 66 licenses, and ultimately the CFP® designation.

In addition to his professional work, Lucas volunteered with the Voluntary Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program during the 2025 tax season, preparing more than 60 federal and state tax returns for community members.

Outside of work, he enjoys sports, the outdoors, reading fantasy and science fiction, watching movies, and spending time with family, friends, and his two German Shepherds.
